Creating a Bedroom POP UP for the Mr. & Mrs Smith Canada Launch

Last month I had the pleasure of designing the bedroom scene for the Canadian launch of Mr. & Mrs Smith held at The Spoke Club in Toronto. Mr. & Mrs. Smith is a U.K.-based boutique hotel booking and review website. The name acts as a tongue-and-cheek ‘code’ for unmarried couples checking into hotels. James and Tamara Lohan, the real life “Mr. & Mrs Smith”,  started the company after they had had enough of booking into hotels not up to the average person’s standards. What started as travel guide turned into an online collection of high end boutique hotels across the world. The well traveled duo and their team have hand picked each hotel to ensure those staying receive the most memorable stay.

My task was to create a bedroom pop for the launch. Something sophisticated yet inviting that represented the Mr. & Mrs. Smith brand. Here are my before shots.. before the event got going and the sheets got ‘ruffled’…

 

The team at Mr. & Mrs Smith partnered with West Elm for the event, which made getting involved even more of  a no-brainer for me! Below are some photos taken at the event. As you can see some Toronto celebs even turned out for the event!
