I have just returned from a fabulous weekend in New York City. While in the Big Apple, I consider eating (as I do shopping) a sport. We basically go from shop (ok there are usually some museums thrown in there as well) to restaurant, shop to restaurant. My mission before I leave is to find a restaurant that makes my mouth water, not just for the food of course but for the design. Mission accomplished! The name Saxon & Parole comes from two 19th-century racehorses. One restaurant review called it ‘stable chic decor’, this is a perfect description for this warm and rustic atmosphere. If you happen to find yourself in the Bowery district.. heck if you happen to find yourself in New York city, Saxon & Parole is must for dinner.
