Trend Spotting – Green with Envy

I’m working on a design  plan right now for a new client. When I came for the initial  consultation, she had the most beautiful green vase on her coffee table. It instantly became the colour inspiration for my design scheme.  Green is popping up everywhere these days… on the run way and in cutting edge interiors.  Check out some of the Kelly Green Gorgeousness I found below!

I love the contrast of these smokey grey walls with the green silk drapes. Note how the trim was painted the same colour as the walls to give the drapes the attention they deserve. This space is all about less is more; detailed architecture, beautiful, large furniture and one hit of bold colour. DELISH!

This is a perfect example of  visually pleasing symmetry. The books underneath the table lamps add the extra height needed to make the vignette work and the gold handles compliment the bamboo mirror. I may have opted for darker shades or at least contrasting piece of black ribbon or trim around the shade to add a more impact however the black tassels are a welcome touch!

Leave it to Kelly Wearstler to go over top with colour. Note how she switches the tile direction on the opposing wall… other notables; the high gloss black trim and bright white ceiling.

Patten and bold colour!  This is one of my absolute favorite combos in fashion and design.

And in Fashion News a couple of “Kelly Green” pieces I’m currently coveting and hoping to add to my wardrobe… the colour has my name in it so they were meant to be mine .. right ; )
